I don't get the Calimero attitude around the EU project. It's the second largest economy in the world, the 3rd most populated area. It can only loose by getting divided into nation states (and becoming vulnerable to billionaire bullies). In times like these, we should unite.

Initially, we'll cover flanders because of the penetration degree of smart meters. But if there is interest, we can expand to the other regions.

There is quite an issue in Belgium regarding new grid capacity for battery projects as grid operators can't keep up with the uptake of the market. Delays to get a grid study are running into the 12months+ timing. This is a problem with respect to the needed energy transition.

Correct, if Engie doesn't win the tender, they won't trade their part of the energy. The tender aligns to the current framework, which is a spot market based CFD. If the Be gov would like to sell its long position to industrials, they could do so in a financial deal.
