that's not to say that the previous ones weren't scary at all, some of them definitely were. but there's something about this one that really does it well. the only thing i'll mention is the lack of ammo- you really have to be smart about when you shoot, and when you should just sneak by.
resident evil requiem is the first resident evil to genuinely make me scared to continue playing when I play through grace's sections of the game. the atmosphere is nuts, there's no music, but you hear literally every single can roll, every water drip, it's very unnerving.

from the way the world looks, the interactions between characters, the way the story unfolds and its finale, the combat, the fucking incredible music...everything about this game is a masterpiece and I really enjoyed my time with it.
the few gripes i have don't even matter. please play this game.
so when i started playing expedition 33 i was very much like "there is no way this game is THAT good". i was expecting to like it but also to be proven right
turns out, i'm a big dummy and i'm not right and holy shit this game is -INCREDIBLE-

REMINDER
it is insane though that the original source code of this game was lost and they had to basically remake the entire game from scratch
literally from playing the original and then recreating how the game feels with brand new code. that is wild- so glad they stuck with it despite all of that lol
getting this game again, especially on PC, is a blessing in itself though so I won't complain too much but the multiplayer modes specifically I really wanted to be added to this ;_;
i'll also miss balthier- barrage was such a good skill lmao
i understand wanting to preserve the experience of the original game but i bet you can't find a single FFT fan that played and hated War of the Lions. gonna get this remaster but i'm really upset WoTL content isn't being added :(
