I'm done thinking about stupid shit on here. The New York Times op ed page. Romantasy novelists applauding 9/11. From now on I'm thinking full time about a French private investigator with a hook for a hand named Le Chat Diabolique (The Diabolical Cat) who I just made up. He lives above a bakery

there should be some Markdown syntax that, like.. lets you indicate that the enclosed text should gradually diminish in size over its length. Would really give "noooooooooo" the plaintive feel it deserves
I also want subscripts and superscripts but don't let's be hasty

anyway I am genuinely stoked for The Bride Factorial
just took the bins out and saw the house a few doors down has a really bright red light over the front door. I was like ... y'all running a brothel down there? Nothing would be wrong with that, to be clear, it's just a little surprising

I really hope that's the joke
my most toxic trait is that if a title has an exclamation point at the end, when I'm speaking out loud I will pronounce it "factorial" instead.
I also do this for titles with a + rather than an & or and spelled out, like Romeo Plus Juliet
The Tumbler Ridge newspaper puts it better than I could
HTML in email was a major milestone on this path. Again, the very idea should've just been met with a hard nope, because it started as opt-in and quickly became practically unavoidable
I am convinced that there's a straight path from "wouldn't it be fun to run code in a web page" to the current fuckass web of half a dozen walled gardens spying on you constantly
