I've found myself using the f-word a lot lately. Fascism. There's a lot of it about. People don't like to say it because it makes them uncomfortable. It seems extreme. Well, fascism is extreme and you can't ignore it. Get used to it. Start using the f-word.
Medical model vs social model of health & wellbeing. We have the evidence. And many ideas & answers.
Now we need to act!

Grief awareness week 2-8 Dec Purple design with mental health foundation logo Thought bubble image with calendar, clock & lightbulb image. Question: what should we know about grief?
Point 1 There's no time limit Purple background Clock, calendar sketches on the purple. For some feelings of grief will become easier to cope with over time. For others they may persist. They may come in waves, or be triggered by life events or time of the year. There's no set path and how long and how your affected is personal.
Point 2 There's no right way to grieve Purple background Speech bubble, cuppa, headphones sketches on the purple. You might need to be around friends. You might need to be alone. You might want to use art, music, or writing to help process your emotions. However you cope, it's all valid.
Point 3 There are ways to manage grieg Purple background Heart, zz for sleep, shoes walking, cuppa sketches on the purple. Feel your feelings. Remind yourself that with any liss or change, difficult feelings will follow. Whatever brings you joy, fibd time to do it and give yourself permission to enjoy it. Take care of your body. Try to get a good sleep and do some movement daily.
It's #GriefAwarenessWeek - sharing here some myth busting info from the Mental Health Foundation
What should we know about grief?...
For every £1 invested in prevention, we could see £3.17 of savings....
'Properly funded preventative services would mean...[we] can maximise the impact resources and address community needs.'

#Advent2024
Excellent thread on the problem of supply and demand or why 'more supply will not solve the problem of too much demand' across a range of current societal challenges inc traffic, housing, care...
We need whole system thinking and systemic change!
Yet further evidence the gambling industry fails to act responsibly and puts young people at risk of harm.
