I like the whole Master Sword obtaining Ganon fighting thing as much as your ordinary Zelda enjoyer, I just find that those more contained and personal stories really stick with me
Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time. It's a credit to the Zelda series that Majora's Mask is my favorite game period! I don't think it's a coincidence that my two favorite Zeldas are games where Link has a melancholic solo adventure untethered to the broader Zelda lore.
