Many thanks to @greenleafgeek.bsky.social for letting me know about Tidal so I could transfer my flag there and not continue using these jerks' service.

It's a good day to read a book by the river while your wife frolics
Now reading When the Pine Needles Fall: Indigenous Acts of Resistance by Katsi'tsakwas Ellen Gabriel (with Sean Carleton)
5 stars β brilliant book! I laughed, I cried! I raged at Father Clayborn. Polk out-Sanderlanched Brandon Sanderson. A beautiful regency era fantasy novel exploring themes of LGBTQ+ and feminist freedom. This book reminded me of mad at men and our own patriarchal society.

Concert at the bandpass amphitheatre
Saw Alan Doyle perform for the second time this year, and attended my first concert at the Badlands Amphitheatre in Alberta. Such a great show at a very cool venue
Watching the latest episode of Star Trek Strange New World's and WHY ARE THEY SO BAD AT ARCHAEOLOGY? How did they figure out the right angle to fire deflectors through a magnetic anomaly? Why aren't they studying this artifact from another galaxy? Why is it even there?! So much about this is wrong

Cover of I'm Afraid of Men by Vivek Shraya
I just finished reading I'm Afraid of Men by Vivek Shraya, and it's easy to see why it was named Best Book by several journals.
A very quick read, it explores her gender identity journey and the intersection of mysogynistic and colonial violence.
Happy publication day to the Fellowship of the Ring, part one of the Lord of the Rings. It was originally published 71 years ago on July 29th, 1954, and has since become one of the best selling books ever written!
Started reading Written on the Dark by Guy Gavriel Kay the other day. First book of his I've read, and it is hitting all the right notes with me!
A fantasy novel that is more historical than fantasy, mystery and political intrigue, and LGBTQ+ positive! Amazing so far!
If you see this, quote this post with a time travel movie that's not Back to the Future
Taking your indoor cat for walks is both the longest and shortest walk you'll ever take. The longest time to go the shortest distance. Worse than dogs who gotta sniff everything
LRP: Kindness is punk rock.
Yesterday I was asked to be a guest speaker at a kids' summer day camp about comics and superheroes. We made zines and had a lot of fun.
Thank you Rockland Park HOA for having me. #yyc #comics
Superman was one of the most refreshing (superhero) films I've seen in a long long time!
