I hope so, apparently permethrin is a neurotoxin to cats and can result in an extremely scary situation to say the least so crossing my fingers cuz the exposure was so minimal and not like, directly from the tube or anything. Hard to find direct answers online on how worried I should be (also ty <3)

Yea I'm hoping it'll be nothing because it seems unlikely that trace dry amounts on my skin rubbing off on her hours after I applied it would poison her. She did groom herself after I wiped her down but the ER vet assured me the likelihood of poisoning is pretty low but cat mom brain is like WHAT IF

I'm such a dumbass for not looking up sooner if it'd be toxic to cats. I'm like full body covered now and shooing her away from me. Wiped her down with wet paper towel and grooming wipes and just idk pray for me or something that it's not another emergency situation I will fucking burst into flames

But to keep an eye on her and I'm just like can I please get a fucking break. I almost fell down some steps earlier because I was having such a bad pain day, migraine and joint pain & shaking (no clue why!!) but despite that pushed thru to do everything by the book wrt washing bedding, vacuuming etc

not sleeping tonight apparently the cream I applied to be vigilant about scabies exposure (permethrin) is highly toxic to cats & I pet her a bit before finding out, it was dried by a few hours but I'm freaking out. Called poison control & the ER vet I went to (bless them) & they say it should be ok

I feel like I'm stuck in an endless cycle of chores cuz I have daily personal upkeep and keeping the house clean + all the shit I'm behind on and I'm rly looking forward to when it's only the former and I can fucking sit down and draw

I have spent more time in 2026 having a cold or dealing with some stupid time consuming problem like this than I have being well and unbothered by parasites

I can't believe the day after I built my new PC I found out I was exposed to fucking scabies so the past two days have been taking care of that instead of setting it up I AM TIRED OF HAVING AILMENTS

I am feeling the "I haven't made art in a while and I'm starting to feel sad about it" malaise and semi-burnt out every day cuz it takes so much energy to habit stack and learn and relearn how to be Actually functional and healthy, it gets easier every day but it must be done every day

Ok so PC did not get finished due to time constraints but hopefully by Monday? It's mostly together tho and looks sooo slick.

Otherwise nothing to report, still on the health/routine ascension arc and it's going well, lost some muscle mass due to not eating enough but not letting it deter me 💪

A really gross part of me considered leaving them that way (authentic battle damage!!!) but as a rule of thumb you should try to minimize biohazards and be sanitary

decided I'd take all my dinosaur figures out of storage and in that process cut my finger on a broken glass water bottle, and while not paying attention the bandaid oversaturated and I got blood all over my dinosaur toys and now they need a bath after experiencing the carnage
