First saw one in Cambs on Girton golf course many years ago and more recently on the course in Pidley. Worrying news though, oneβs been knocking about my road for past few monthsβ¦there goes the neighbourhood!
Well done chaps. Could be having a go for the Killdeer tomorrow π€π½
Nice trip out this afternoon for the Tundra bean and Russian white-fronted geese at Sutton North Fen. Didnβt even have to leave the car for the latter! Good number of Kestrels along the surrounding Droves @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
My sort of birding at the weekend. Poached eggs on toast and a black coffee on the go, Only Fools & Horses on the TVβ¦β¦and taking photos from the sofa!
Didnβt bother taking the scope (as usual) on a walk over Ouse washes, Earith yesterday. Nice Common buzzards in the bi-noc-u-lars and only checking a few photos where the zoom was straining did I realise one was sitting on prey! @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social #ukbirding
Had to put me beer down and make a dash for the camera to grab record shots of this Raven passing over the garden in Somersham! @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
Arranged weeks ago to go cycling around Grafham Water today and popped the camera in rucksack just in case there was a chance of a quick stop for photos of the Spotted sandpiperβ¦.got lucky! @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social

This rather early Bee-eater shot past me at Old fall this morning. Nice start to the spring @flamboroughbird.bsky.social
Bit of Water vole action on edge of the village #UKmammals
