The title and cover have changed but itβs the same book and the same content (I donβt want to confuse people who may already own the original)

10 years ago I wrote a book called Patisserie Made
Simple, a book I am so proud of. Sadly it went out of print a few years ago but, my publisher has decided to revive it for its 10th anniversary! French Bakes Made Simple is out in the US + Canada June 10th, UK on Aug 28th. amzn.to/427y0kj
The brightness on a grey winters day.
Todayβs recipe testing involved these beautiful little morsels. Cocoa croissant dough with fresh pear compote and whipped milk chocolate ganache. Testing for a big upcoming project
Canβt wait to visit
Flights booked. Finally visiting Copenhagen, in May. For someone as obsessed with baking and design as me I am shocked itβs taken me this long to arrange a trip!
Sadly they wonβt ship it to the UK
Anyone got any idea where I can find pretzel salt in the UK, struggling to find anyone that sells it.
It does indeed, helps them get a deeper richer flavour and improves the chew
If, hypothetically, I was to write my last ever chocolate chip cookie recipe, what elements would you include to make it the all time best? What type of chocolate would you use, what flour? Any additional ingredients, any different techniques?
Came home, after working away for a week, to huge amounts of progress on the renovation. Dream kitchen one step closer!
Queers and Allies, I'm doing this!
I've started a queer-centered food newsletter. We need more safe spaces to gather around food, tell our stories, and be. No gatekeeper. No noise. Just us.
Subscription is freeβbecause this space belongs to all of us. Pls share

Iβve been home in Yorkshire for the past week so obviously had to visit one of my favourite bakeries, Nova Bakehouse, in Leeds. Throughly enjoyed the rhubarb and custard semla, beautiful as always!
Spending a week doing some serious recipe testing, thrilled with how this turned out! A beautiful cocoa swirled milk bread.
Thrilled to FINALLY have started our home renovation today. Builders started on site 8am sharp and I also had a design meeting with our brilliant kitchen designers. Canβt wait for these befores to become beautiful afters!
Just found out I was fined by TFL on CHRISTMAS EVE for accidentally turning right onto a road when I was only allowed to drive straight on! Especially annoying as I was following the satnav.
We moved into our rather run down renovation project exactly a year ago. Today, we finally signed the contract for our builder. He and his team are starting the renovation first thing next Monday morning. So excited! Also meeting with our brilliant kitchen designer Monday to nail down the design!
Absolutely!
Our long awaited kitchen renovation starts in 10 days so today I have to sort out 15 years of accumulated baking equipment! Going to need a lot of coffee!
Definitely feeling hit hard by it this time around!
Like clockwork Iβve got flu, itβs like my body knows Iβve stopped working for Christmas and decides this is the best time to get sick! For some reason all Iβm craving is a big bowl of spaghetti bolognese, but like a crappy retro British version. Nostalgia I guess.
Thankfully the floor is being ripped out (as is the whole kitchen) in a few weeks so it wouldnβt have mattered although by some miracle it was totally fine.
I was trying to do too many things at once and just caught it with my foot and bang!
I guess Iβm buying myself a new marble pastry slab for Christmas!
Two lovely simple desserts for you this Christmas. A simplified trifle recipe and my personal favourite - baked nutmeg custard with rum soaked raisins and hazelnut streusel
Maybe my favourite so far in this years Christmas cookie recipes, coming to the newsletter tomorrow. A festive take on a Twix.
