A question I’ve been wondering for quite a while, there are some d3 schools with very wealthy alumni, is there much going on with NIL in the d3 level? Could we see a really rich alum propel a bottom of the pack school to prominence?

I know nothing at all about #rocks but my favorite dorky dad activity is to go about halfway out in the river and dig down under the surface and find what I think are cool rocks.

Renovating my old clapboard house. Was hoping to find some old coins. No luck so far but found this calendar from 1916. Pretty cool

New type of running today. Wanted to be with my boys but they wanted to skate. So I ran 50 laps around this little skate park. In crocs. It was not well thought out. Massive blisters. Haha!

Went up Mt Cole in #Virginia to watch the sunset with the wildfire smoke making filters. Could not capture the true beauty. The sun was purple, pink, and yellow.

Today my sons completed a central PA rite of passage for them. Climbing to the top of the 1000 Steps outside Mount Union, PA. Quarry workers used to climb those steps every day to get to work. One of my favorite views any where. Worth the climb.

#ThickTrunkTuesday. This is a massive Sycamore on the farm I grew up on. Less than 50 feet from her is the remains of the Pennsylvania Canal. Spread throughout the fields surrounding her are countless Native American artifacts. The stories she could tell…

Not really #trailrunning. More gravel. When this trail opened I said I was gonna do this all the time. But the tunnel makes my gps go wonky and I hate that.

Running back down the mountain and come across a fresh pile of bear scat and then get into town and all the neighborhood dogs are going nuts. Think I just missed crossing paths with Mr. Bear.

I love a distant turn while #traileunning. What’s going to be around the turn? A bear? Coyote? Deer or turkeys? Nothing but trees and the trail to keep pushing myself on? Three different trail runs around the turn was a naked person. Haha!
