I looked at the surveillance camera, because I wanted to see if there had been any snow at home, and I was all confused as to why my car had been replaced by a totally different car. ๐

Look at the northern lights @jtsveigdalen.bsky.social and I saw last night. Disclaimer: this picture was taken with a 5 second exposure time. To the bare eye, only the green flowing waves were visible, but the long exposure time caught some other interesting colors too. ๐
Have you tested this card, btw?
Wow, that's a great device. Getting WiFi capabilities has usually been a challenge for the older ThinkPads where I've tried running Linux with a web browser.
I had such a great time, and got to see some of my dream cars. ๐ All thanks to you. ๐ฅฐ
This is so great, thanks for doing this. ๐ฅฐ An E36 bed, I see now what I should have done with the E39 Touring we had sitting. ๐
Yeah, my only knowledge of the Kool aid man was of a jar with limbs and a face, containing red drinkable stuff, bursting through a wall in ancient commercials. So I also assumed that a wrestler breaking through a wall was a product of that same era. ๐
You have no idea how much I've enjoyed my days off with a wife that has time off from work too. ๐
No pain, that was supposed to say. ๐
Happy to tell all of you that know @jtsveigdalen.bsky.social , that her operation today went fine. ๐ I'm visiting her now, and she's in good mood and bi pain. This is the view from her room at the hospital, btw. ๐
That was such a disappointment. ๐ฅ But it was my own fault, I didn't read the description good enough. "Language: French". Despite being sold by an eBay store in the UK. But.. 5 minutes after opening it, my English copy was ordered. ๐
A BMW E39 parked on a field, with hills and partly lit up clouds in the background.
Last week, I drove the 535i up to its winter storage location, and on the way up there, I took the back roads. And along these roads I know that there are some good scenery. And that day, with the skies and the background, I took what I believe to be the best picture I've ever taken of the 535i.
Stay tuned on my profile. ๐
I can post more pictures too, if you guys want. ๐
I remember some years ago when I saw a little insect on my wall. I thought it had a weird shape, so I took a picture and magnified it. And it had arms with pincers, just like a tiny scorpion. ๐ฆ But it didn't have the tail. Turns out this is a pseudo scorpion. Never seen one since. #pseudoscorpions
Off topic, but long time since I've seen GI Joe now. I love those remakes that came years ago, with the 'You not cooking' and 'Hey kid, I'm a computer' ones. ๐
"From one thousand nine hundred and fifty eight to one thousand nine hundred and sixty two xxxx took place" I didn't even understand what happened at first, until I realized that this was an artificial voice, and no one had taught it how to deal with reading years out loud. ๐
So I watched a YouTube video the other day about some specific events that took place from 1958 to 1962. And I've realized that AI and autogenerated narrator voices on YouTube videos has become good. So good that I didn't even catch that this was an artificial voice until the voice said: 1/
plus he held a grudge against Dyatlov. Btw, the jumping fuel rod caps didn't happen either. I've never understood how that could be true. And that also seems to be a "good story" from his book. Perevozchenko could *not* see this and then make it back to Control Room 4 before the reactor blew up. ๐ฌ
Busted again. But I've been watching That Chernobyl Guy, and bits fall into place. It unveils a story on how Gregory Medvedev wrote a in his book about how Anatoly Dyatlov behaved, which is contradicted my many witness statements. Why? Because he was an author that made a good sellable book, 1/
She claims to be totally unknowledgeable, but when I travelled from the US back in the days, she claimed to have "seen me land" 15 minutes too late. Ok, how? I asked. Well, she had figured out that Text-TV had their own page for international flight arrivals and their landing time. ๐
next to an X". Put the arrow over the square and click, I said. Silence, and a gasp of astonishment from her. "Oh wow, it's big again. How do you know all this from the top of your head?" That's when temptation became too big, and I replied "It's because I'm smart." ๐ Yes, it must be, she replied. ๐
me and said it was a "poster" (her word for pop-up window) across half her screen. From the description I eventually realized this was her browser that was minimized to half size. So we worked our way up and to the right, with her describing what she saw, and we finally made it to a "tiny square 2/
My mom (85 year old) has a laptop for her internet bank. She knows nothing about computing, so I've given her step by step instructions on how to turn on the computer, open a window, pay bills, and turn it back off. So when everything work fine, she does it just fine. But the other day she called 1/
I don't think so, except this was the late 40's, so jet engines was overall still something new. This was the Allison J35, which was the US' first axial flow jet engine.
Yes! I read up on it today, actually, and was a little surprised. It seems like it took up to the E-model before the plane was fully capable and effective. It seems like shortages of engines also was a factor.
some miles, and then crash landed. Both pilotes were killed. The Norwegian Air Force had many of these planes in operation in the early 50's, and sources say that many pilotes were killed in accidents with the F-84.

1953, and it's funny to think that in 1985, that was only 32 years ago. The plane was a F-84 Thunderjet, and the accident happened when two of these planes made contact during training for formation flying. One plane went down immediately, which I think is this one. The other one continued for 2/
First of all, a childhood friend of mine had picked it up. This was around 1985, so 40 years ago. He probably brought home several pieces of wreckage that was at that point still scattered around the crash site. Today, as an adult, I would probably have left it alone. So this crash happened in 1/
When I get my Insag 1 from eBay, your daily Expanse read out loud-sessions will be replaced by me reading Insag for you. ๐ I'm just hoping my copy also contains the Insag 7 update, as the original Insag 1 contains some errors.
