AI should never be used to replace creative work or to replicate it/steal it. While it can be a useful tool, it can never compete with a skilled voice actor bringing actual emotion, heart and passion.
Here to reinforce that, as our Casting & VO Producer, The Bureau of Fantastical and Arcane Affairs has over 35 voice actors, many voicing multiple characters across our 100+ character game. We at @hipflask.games ARE not out here replacing real creatives with AI and WILL not.

I also wonder how many people assume that narrators are "bad" when lots of the time the voice actor doesn't know all the accents they'll be asked to do when given a book to narrate. Hardly helpful to the voice talent, or the author /:
The thing about enjoying audiobooks is the risk of being pulled out of the story because you're wondering if a pronunciation problem or grammar oops is something written in - or if nobody gave the narrator the info they needed to get something right.
