And Hazelnut, while a SHOCKINGLY empty slot, is one I'm already using for my flat-out Cookie Self in-game. no snazzy scythe, just. one face in the crowd.

The problem is I'd want to be involved in it and, to that end, I'd need to think up A Cookie To Be. Cookie Run has a LOT of increasingly arbitrary "flavors" (fuckin'...Silent Salt? Shadow Milk??) but that doesn't really help me know what to name my hypothetical self-insert cookie.

I WOULD totally write an unfix fic about this though.

The hatred and despair of cookies made to face the Witches is so intense that it became a living thing unto itself and White Lily Cookie saw that and said "I could use that against the girl that's trying to put a stop to our existential nightmare"

The war sucks shit!! The creating new cookies as weapons wracked in perpetual agony sucks shit!! Everything about what Dark Enchantress is doing sucks shit!! But the witches are worse and NOBODY is coming up with a plan!!

grabs White Lily Cookie while she's in the middle of trying to talk down Dark Enchantress and shakes her vigorously. girlie the gods either don't know you're alive or only care about twisting that life for displays of absolute and unquestionable cruelty. you NEED to do more than shrug about it

There's indifference from the witches and that's a horror in and of itself, but to be there to see them creating cookies - living cookies!!! - just to eat them, and to have them throw her into dough alongside fragments of other (living!!!!) cookies' bodies and souls is. blatant evil.

But when the best alternative anyone seems to be able to come up with is "let's not talk about it and just keep living our best lives :)" it feels like maaaaaybe only one person in the room is taking the existential threat seriously

Like. okay. I get it. There is a bitter irony in Dark Enchantress creating the Ultimate Cookie as a tool to assimilate all of cookiekind into itself when she's also the one portrayed as *unhealthily* bent on proving cookies - all dessertfolks, really - have worth.

(I hate virgin-versus-chad but I couldn't think of a better way to word this spiel. sorry)
