#Hobbystreak day 49. Added some highlights to the black and started working on all the metallic details. I guess the nice thing about space marine tanks being giant metal boxes is they can paint up pretty quickly.
#Hobbystreak day 48. The Primer coat and the first base coat are down. I was hoping to get a bit more done today but there is a lot of surface area to cover.
#Hobbystreak day 47. I picked up this Land's Raider on Sunday and spent today building it between stuff at work. I love how pleasant all the 30k kits are to build.
#Hobbystreak day 46. Another set of Jade Warriors are done. I have been feeling motivated to work on my Dark Angels the last few days so I think tomorrow I am returning to the Heresy for a bit.
#Hobbystreak day 45. The Cavaliers returned to the field today. In the final operation of the contract they took back the Ellington Minerals corporate headquarters from the striking mining union. The Pinkerton arc is complete.
#Hobbystreak day 44. More progress today. Tomorrow I just need to do the gold and bases and then on to the next project.
#Hobbystreak day 43. Solid first day of progress on these Jade Warriors. My new goal is to try and finish all the units from the first Cathay box before the new one arrives.
#Hobbystreak day 42. Fucking mech slipped out of my hands and went full grenade. I am going to have to strip it from all the chipped areas and start over. In the mean time I will be working on some Cathay troops.
#Hobbystreak day 41. The Thunder Fox has been an interesting one day paint. I like it but it's definitely of the era of IWM where everything has very little sculpted detail. Not entirely sure how well it carries off the Cavaliers scheme.
#hobbystreak day 40. Working on something totally different today. The Cavaliers salvaged a Thunder Fox a couple missions ago and my IWM order came in the mail last week. Today I got it built and primed and I don't think I have super glued my fingers together so much in my life
#Hobbystreak day 39. The Jade Lancers are done. It started to feel like a bit of a slog towards the end but glad I got them done because they do look good all ranked up.
#Hobbystreak day 38. Some really solid progress today. I'm nearly done with the riders I just need to do the gold detail.
#Hobbystreak day 37. With the horses finished it's time to move onto the riders. I think I definitely prefer painting Jade warriors on foot it's just easier to get to the detail.
#Hobbystreak day 36. I had to work late today so I got less painting done than I planned on but still pretty decent progress today.
#Hobbystreak day 35. Horse work continues but I feel I am just about done with them. I figure by tomorrow I should be starting on the riders.
#Hobbystreak day 34. Work on the horses continues and I think I am making pretty decent progress so far.
#Hobbystreak day 33. Started painting the rest of my primed Jade Lancers from months ago. For the time being I am just going to focus on the horses and do the riders after.
#Hobbystreak day 32. I am really pleased with how Belial looks now that I am done with him. My goal for this year is to play more 30k so hopefully he will see the table soon as a stand-in Praetor.
#Hobbystreak day 31. Lots of good painting work done today. I am really pleased with how Belial is turning out compared to my attempt a couple months ago that looked like an angry santa.
#Hobbystreak day 30. I didn't have time to paint today because it was my turn to host D&D but I did have time to build this Malineth mini and put her on a proper base since I finished making my character way ahead of everyone else.
#Hobbystreak day 29. Before I take another dive into Cathay army painting I want to return to this Belial model that I paint stripped and shelved because I was really unhappy with the original results. Attempt 2 I think I got it this time.
#Hobbystreak day 28. All my clan forces for Aces are complete. I think now that all of them are done the paint scheme was largely a success.

#Hobbystreak day 27. Really solid progress today on these mechs. The base coats are done and since my mech painting is pretty simple I am hoping I can finish them tomorrow.
#Hobbystreak day 26. 2nd batch of Aces mechs are up on the desk. I kind of want to power through these because playing aces has become a popular way of introducing new people to the game since it came out.
#Hobbystreak day 25. I finished my first batch of Aces forces. I'm still a bit on the fence about the two tone grey but I am committed now.
#Hobbystreak day 24. Cavaliers campaign Sunday and it was brutal. Our formation was ambushed by head hunters on the way to our next mission. We mostly escaped but it cost us the capture of our crusader and one of our battle armor teams.
#Hobbystreak day 23. Chill Saturday I had a friend over to the house and we played a couple of small 500 point games of Warhammer Old world
#Hobbystreak day 22. I decided it's finally time to get around to painting my clan forces for Aces. I was kind of hoping the light grey would come out darker but it's more off white. Not sure if I want to keep it or go with another color.
#Hobbystreak day 21. Terrain painting is kind of a nice change because I can just go nuts with dry brushing and contrast. I think I got a really nice result for a one day paint.
