And that's a world MANY of us indie hopefuls are in at the moment. If a well-known writer can crank out 10 books a month, why take a chance on Mr. Nobody?
I had to drop my DC titles a while ago as between the bi-weekly drops of the main books and crossovers, it became too much.
Agreed. It is sad to see shops posting that they just simply don't care, though.
I like a good mainstream book as much as many others do, but basically saying, "Batman is better and cheaper, so maybe make yours better and cheaper" isn't all too constructive.
Indie comics need time to grow and people to fight their corner.
If all you want is to see superheroes, have at it, but you are enabling an industry to just keep on pumping that out and see nothing new, real, or inspiring.
You can choose to be a part of growth. But if you aren't... ๐คซ
So 2016 Best Picture nominee, Moonlight, wasn't competing with Manchester By The Sea for audience, but instead ROGUE ONE?
...And Little Miss Sunshine (2006) was competing with 300!
This. Is. Sparta!
I get that the indie is smaller, but if you only ever service BATMAN. You only see BATMAN.
I wrote a silly story, which is included in this collection of silly stories, now featured by the BBC.
You should go check it out!
My contribution begins on page 33.
I believe @arachnid-guy.bsky.social works/ed closely with a comics charity.
It's not for almost a year, but they're coming back to my city for a short run and wasn't going to pass it up!

I have two thriller/horror shorts I REALLY want to find a home for.
1.
Set in the future, a ballet dancer auditions for a lead part.
2.
A farmer awakens to find his daughter missing from her bed, and blood leading to where the sheep sleep.
Would be perfect for @boom-studios.com or something...
Loved his work on Chu.
That first image, especially, is unbelievably good.
What GIF pops up when you type your name?
You all know what GIF comes up for my name... I don't need to post it.
That doesn't sound very Christmassy of you!
Pictures required!
Just can't imagine you singing Silent Night in a Christmas Pudding hat and a tinsel covered sweater ๐
I would not have guessed at you being Christmassy!
Great to meet you!
I would tag loads of people like I did on Twitter, but the Blue Sky tags are really long, and so I'd need to make a ton of posts to acknowledge everyone, so assume my love exists if we chatted/hung out/caught up.
Tile an entire room!
Another year, another Thought Bubble. Newly inspired and ready to push the ideas out. Carried less around than usual. Got another short into hands... and a page into an art gallery!
Harrogate, I am inside of you.
See you tomorrow Thought Bubblers!

Any Thought Bubble folk who venture into the Majestic this year... feast your eyes on the Secrets of the Majestic display case in their lounge bar!
I'm having a wonderful time ๐
Looks like they need a copy of the book in there to complete the look!
That's meee!
Wait, London Film and Comic Con is this weekend at the same time as Thought Bubble?
What genius at Showmasters thought that was a good idea?
The view counter on Twitter posts makes me feel like when I added a view counter to my Geocities websites as a kid, except the view counter there was more impressive because it would take note of my consistent page refreshes.
Was waiting for more guest announcements, but I got impatient...
See ya'll in November.
