This is exciting news. It was a pleasure to work with my colleague @lainejohnson.bsky.social to get this project to include active transportation infrastructure.

Thanks to work that Councillor Theresa Kavanagh @tkavanaghbayward.bsky.social and I did with City staff and MTO, these new bridges will be built wider to accommodate active transportation. A lot of kids cross the 417 to get to school and back every day and improving safety has to be a priority here.
It was amazing to see so many people turn out, and the variety of objects that they brought!

They are having an awesome Repair Café on at Ron Kolbus till 2. Always a joy to catch up with my colleague Theresa Kavanagh. This is always a high-energy, delightful event.
This was a lot of fun, and my little sewing heart was warmed by seeing all of the sewing machines brought in for repair.
And thank you to Danny who tried to fix my beloved hair dryer, but found that the best solution was to whack the side of it.
Fantastic turnout at Repair Cafe at Ron Kolbus Lakeside as a partnership btwn @en.ottawa.ca & Ottawa Tool Library & many dedicated volunteers helping to fix broken appliances etc. I loved the FIXED! Cowbell that rang when something got repaired. Thanks @jleiper.bsky.social for dropping by.

Glad to attend the AGM of the Britannia Village Community Association. Britannia’s history runs deep — from a riverside village to the unique and vibrant community it is today — and it was great to hear how neighbours are shaping its future.
Last summer I took a ride with the folks at ATU279 doing their best to keep Ottawa moving.
A federal government cutting $5 billion for transit and a province that won't pay their fair share — transit workers are doing their best, but chronic underfunding is hurting public transit in Ottawa.

Completed Winterlude Triathlon in a non traditional fashion. Despite being worried about skating I did fine & run went well. The skiing turned into a 2nd run due to missing ski boots! Regardless I got it done. Thanks to volunteers along route for the encouragement. @alexcullen.bsky.social
