Though the window of opportunity has obviously extended (I can still play PS2 games if I want to hook up my old PS2), for many games, if you don't play them within a certain timeframe of release (yes, about 10 years), then they'll never be played. Obvs more of an issue with indies than AAA. 3/3
I don't see every movie when it comes out, but I can catch up with films that are DECADES old via streaming or DVD. There are many games that cannot be played (unless they were initially successful enough to get a remaster or are available via emulator) 1/...3?
There's a strange phenomenon with games that doesn't really exist with other media - having the means to play said media in perpetuity (or close to it). 1/2

Folks complained about the cost of #Thanksgiving this year, but for #ItalianAmericans, Christmas Eve IS our Thanksgiving. So I hope that all of those undereducated “considered White because of the Knights of Columbus” (look it up) wops who voted for the child rapist choke on their tuna salad. 2/2
Thanks to, I’m assuming, tariffs, getting enough seafood this year for the #FeastOfTheSevenFishes was, to put it mildly, a challenge. Even frozen seafood was scarce (and even then at a premium price).

We'll never get this chance now, and this loss is just one of many that I've been grieving over the past 24 or so hours.
This was always my greatest hope for Rob Reiner, a master storyteller who transcended genre, audience, and style: that he would be asked by Democratic leadership to take those incredible skills and use them as he had for so many other left-leaning causes to help the Democrats craft *their* story.
The irony is that the Democrats have on their side some of THE GREATEST STORYTELLERS EVER KNOWN, so it always baffled me why they'd never leverage those resources to craft a better story, a more inclusive story, a hopeful rather than a fearful story.
The @democrats.org, on the other hand, have always emphasized the nuance and the complexity of the realities of a broken system, but cannot seem to find a way to sell that message as a simple, clear story.
Their simplistic messaging has given them leverage precisely *because* it ignores the nuance that lies just beneath the surface.
