I remember showing an intern my big ass rolodex (you entire career for a publicist). She said what does it do? It's my iphone address book I struggled, spun it around, picked out a card and threw it in the recycle bin. "Who was that?"
Oh, he's dead.

I might be a tiny bit biased because I work there but I think Merrymac does some of the finest timeline cleansing on bluesky. A+ follow IMO.

The thrift shop was selling this big honker dirt cheap as a β€œdecoration,” since the crank connector was broken.

It’s really the only real damage, someone took great care of this machine for a long time - I’m eager to finish the restoration and make her sing again!

It’s warm enough to get back to garage projects!

I am thisclose to getting the victrola working again, but I bought the wrong size replacement arm and all the teflon tape in the world couldn’t fix it.

However, it held long enough so I could crank it and hear sound, so I’m
feeling hopeful.
