Yeah, because in the books i think i remember them saying that basically no one is white? Or maybe that was the Becky Chambers sci fi series? My very first impression of Murderbot was more femme, but then became more neutral looking human without gender because it is a robot afterall.
Yeah i imagine being completely robotic in tone just didn't work even though that's also what i imagined. I also didn't love that they chose a very masculine looking actor and giving Murderbot a masculine hair style. It messed with my image from the books, but i truly loved the show!
