The Democratic party is a big tent, so of course leftist preferred candidates will win sometimes, but they often have a hard time winning nationally because the typical Dem base voter wants:

1. Who is going do the most good for the most people?

2. Who can win? (in a center-right country)

I would like leftists to consider while your stand helped doom an immensely qualified candidate, it won’t prevent next Democratic nom from winning (see post ⬇️).
