Soooooo if you were standing at our register trying to decide what donuts you wanted (needed?) this beautiful last Friday of June this would be the vista from that vantage point.

Strawberry Shortcake 25’ hanging out with Rhubarb Crisp in the “hot corner” (aka upper deck nearest the register) this it’s finally back to Maine summer weather Thursday morning. We make a lot of summer seasonals but Strawberry Shortcake, just like Neo, is “the one”.

With the 1st strawberries of the year the Trifetti are reunited once again. Willy Vanilly & Emoji are year round but summer brings Homer in his strawberriness until the -ber months.

These are, by far, most popular among our youngest demographic, but they have plenty of big kid fans as well.

Strawberry Duck says “Quack”!

Whatya expect him to say? Something like “Must be summer cause’ Strawberry Shortcake is back, bay-bee!”

Welcome back to the Ruckus Donuts stage our most anticipated summer donut - Homer!!

Homer (aka our strawberry sprinkle) only appears when local strawberries do as well, and is also the recipient of one of the nicest compliments any Ruckus Donut has ever received:

“This donut tastes like summer”

Two cool whims this drizzly Wednesday morning. On the left is Maple Brown Butter (maple glaze, vanilla wafer dust, brown butter bourbon buttercream) and Chocolate Raspberry (wild raspberry glaze, dark chocolate drizzle, some non pareils & filled with a dark chocolate buttercream)

One of the most anticipated weeks of the year happens this week…

The best version of The Dude I’ve ever done. What started years ago tongue in cheek has evolved into one of our most beautiful & tasty donuts. Chocolate brioche, dark chocolate glaze, chocolate chunk, butterscotch, toffee chip pretzel cookie crumble, bacon and brown butter bourbon buttercream. Boom.

You’d think it was Sunday how the counter looks. Dough was amazing this morning, which meant beautiful donuts for Conner to work his magic with finishing.

When they’re gone so are til Sunday. Shop will be closed Sat 6/14 as we participate in the Rockport Donut Festival. Gonna be a busy all nighter

Donut drone view of a Whim we run every so often - Mocha Latte - this beautiful Wednesday morning. Basically Espresso Creme in reverse (Bizarro Espresso Creme?) - our dark chocolate glazed swirled with espresso glaze, filled with vanilla Italian buttercream & a pinch of espresso powder to finish.

It’s a blackjack kinda Saturday morning in we have 21 unique varieties to choose from. A few of you more seasoned Ruckateers may spot a donut or two you donut see very often at the counter.

Just like flowers blooming in vibrant hues so too, with June’s arrival, does our counter. Off season earth tones, while delicious, can’t compete in curb appeal.

Welcome to Wednesdays at Ruckus Donuts! Starting today thru the end of the year we will be open Wed thru Sun 7:30am till we sell out.

To kick off the summer season we bring back two of our warm weather favorites. Welcome back to the Ruckus Donuts stage Blueberry Lemonade and Blueberry Crumb!

The first, and certainly not the last, appearance of Rhubarb Crisp at the counter this year. Vanilla glaze (think that pool of melted ice cream), toasted oat crispies, vanilla drizzle & a very generous dollop of local organic rhubarb in a simple compote. Can almost feel your mouth puckering, huh?

First rhubarb compote of 25’ for our very popular Rhubarb Crisp donut. As summer progresses the magenta hue will become more prominent.

We try very hard to not make rhubarb smoosh & just enough sugar to take the edge off. If you enjoy dipping fresh cut stalks into sugar you’ll like this.

Sometimes the morning’s needs require a mad dash. While doing so I saw Reese’s Peanut Butter filed pretzel bites.

Meet Chocolate Peanutzel! Our chocolate brioche donut with dark chocolate glaze, filled with dark chocolate Italian buttercream & smothered with the aforementioned.

Caramel Creme lookin’ outright sexy this Friday morning. One of the 3rd generation of Ruckus going back to our Boynton McKay origins, it’s a marriage of two time tested flavor profiles that love one another - caramel (salted in our glaze’s case) and vanilla (as in the Italian buttercream filling).
