Two snails eating algae from aquarium glass
I captured two different snails in one pic! The bigger one is the one that surprised me earlier, it is currently 21mm long. There's also a third type of snail living in the tank which I believe is gyraulus of some type.

Not yet with that, I'm currently treating it with salicylic acid (Blue Exit by easylife is the product name), it seems to be doing the job as well though I'm only halfway the treatment atm. Real question is will it stay away after the treatment.

Hello
Maximum shrimpage!
There appears to be quite a few species with the similar shell shape. I'll have to take better pictures of the snail next time I see it.
wtf is this? It is big! I haven't bought a snail??
Crazy how things can spontaneously appear in fish tanks.
I kinda like it though.

Sure, here's the full thing atm, kinda bad pic but you can see what's going on. I had ludwigia in the right corner but it didn't want to live so it's empty for now π
Yeah, that's one option. I think I'll try a few other methods first but if nothing else works then maybe I'll try that.
Yeah I have a lot of plants, giant val and limnophila are my fastest growing but currently they're taken over by the cyano. I read somewhere this could be a phosphate issue too but I don't even have a test for that atm, I think I'll need to buy that before I do any dramatic changes.
I was able to get rid of most of the hair algae from my new tank by changing the light but now I have cyanobacteria instead.
My nitrates are staying 0 or below 10, I guess I don't have enough bioload? This is the 1st time I'm trying to balance a tank of this size, the smaller ones have been easier.

colorful digital illustration of a green and red mantis shrimp on a brightly colored abstract background. The shapes have sharp edges and plenty of texture.

Danke Deutschland ich liebe dich π Tbh I was expecting this since they're rather strict with privacy stuff as far as I know.
Now I'm trying to think what kyrvΓ€ke would actually literally mean and it's bothering me lol. Some kind of a little penile object?
I'm trying to grow #chili peppers for the first time and it looks like I might actually get a few. πΆ I don't know what to do with them yet, some jam maybe?
A school of red phantom tetras and black skirt tetras swimming in an aquarium.
The red phantoms have gotten used to their new home and are beginning to show some more colour! Can't wait to see how they look when they're all grown up.

Vampire shrimp (atya gabonensis)
I love these guys and I'm so happy my setup works so well for them.
They can get even larger (those tubes are 4-5cm wide and I have seen a specimen fill them) and they can live up to 15 years. Here's to 10 more years!
