Trump to Latin American leaders: "I'm not learning your damn language. I don't have time."
A dignified transfer ceremony at Dover, DE for fallen soldier in the Iran War. Some complete moron is wearing a white baseball cap and acting like he badly needs to run to the bathroom.
It could not be more obvious that the president does not care about US service members and in fact regards their deaths as mere political inconveniences. He has more sympathy for Putin than Americans who died because he decided to wage illegal war. Just listen to him.
If you have even a scintilla of respect, you take your fucking hat off. Jesus.
My deeply unpopular opinion is that Harris/Dems overperformed all the other “incumbents” & her campaign was just fine & mattered ~not one bit. It was “inflation” & racism/misogyny & misinformation that had absolutely nothing to do with her policies on Gaza or anything else.

How many NYT editors had to sign off for this clause to appear in this article? “a certain appeal to humanitarianism still echoes through the discussion of the war. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/07/w...
Readers who love nonfiction will always read nonfiction. The real shift isn’t demand, it’s attention. Books are competing in a much louder ecosystem now, but long-form thinking still and always will matter!
The Constitution gives Congress the power to check the president. Lawmakers have punted on their duty since Donald Trump retook office.

There is a legal provision in immigration law that someone married to a US citizen can stay in the US while there visa is pending. Immigration officials have long recognized it to allow residency during the wait time. The DHS has just stopped following this part of the law.
Gulf officials are now warning that production shutdowns could send the oil price to $150 per barrel, potentially causing price shocks in the U.S. ahead of November’s midterm U.S. elections. www.wsj.com/world/middle...
In a rational world, this would be a tell that there was no intention to send in ground troops. Because it's too much.
But these people are, actually, dumb enough to lay the kindling and the fuel before jumping in with a lit match.
NEWS: A Justice Dept. line attorney in North Carolina fabricated quotes in court filing, causing judge to order hearing to consider sanctions and holding entire US attorney’s office jointly responsible.
Pro se defendant flagged the errors.

Trump also tells Doocy, "I have a lot of respect for you."
And then he adds the reason: "You've always been very nice to me."
People are dying based on this man’s ravings. It’s time for everyone with a platform to say so, and to say: No more.

Personalist authoritarianism
The Know-Nothing Party is back and it's going to drive all of the papists off SCOTUS
🧵Feels like shouting into the void, but it is essential to note that the Trump/Rubio gutting of the State Department and blowtorching of US diplomatic capacity and credibility is an accelerant to this spiraling war and will seriously undercut US/allied efforts to pick up the pieces after. 1/
This makes no sense and it is disgraceful and incomprehensible that this is the president of the United States, with lethal force at his disposal, communicating in wartime.
It’s hackneyed now but it should never be: don’t normalize this.
Today in “neither our media nor our political system is designed to deal with a far right authoritarian party”

Remarkable: With support for the Iran war tanking, Trump is now throwing away the GOP's advantage on three core issues: Economy, immigration, national security.
A year ago it looked like he might be popular on all three. He lit it all on fire. 1/

The steep slowdown in hiring over the past year, largely due to the uncertainty sparked by President Donald Trump’s erratic tariff policy, has made it difficult for Americans to find work, especially recent college graduates.
This is completely fucking insane and I’m begging our fourth estate to cover this like the story it is: a stark raving lunatic and malignant narcissist surrounded by idiot sycophants is nearing the end of his life and bored as fuck because he’s never faced accountability of any kind in his life
Seems like nobody at all, but especially the treasury secretary, ought to be talking to the press about this.
Folks look at you like you’re crazy when you say we’re in the midst of the worst, most unprecedented Article I constitutional crisis in American history, & then happy Friday:
Just detailing your war plans live for all the world to see.
