Yeah, totally agree. The only way they can back Amorim is if they are convinced it will win us the PL in 3 years time, and there's no evidence of that right now

That's why he's vulnerable I think. Needs a lot of money to get players that suit his system that the club can't currently be convinced will work. It's still likely he stays but it wouldn't surprise me if they parted ways in the summer.
He'd also cost more immediately than Dorgu, and Utd have very little cashflow
The rule was changed years ago that it should only be a yellow in the penalty area, as the goalscoring opportunity is still there with the pen.
The circus will never end. Some of it isn't his fault, some of it is, but it's an endless distraction we don't need anymore.
Amad and Garnacho on the right hand side should be fun.
Yeah I've seen people defend it as a smart negotiation tactic with the players, saying it tells them not to demand too much or they'll be sold. But it also unsettles them and makes them wonder if the club values them. And also, why do it publicly? It's just going to destabilise things. Foolish.
Don't understand briefing stuff like this. Ratcliffe says he wants Utd to be better sellers. But repeatedly telling everyone we're in such a financial mess that we'll sell anyone will just encourage clubs to lowball offers for players we genuinely do want to offload.
That's an incredible stat
Rangnick & ETH away PL record to โbig 6โ
3 points won out of 39
Conceded 42 in 13 games
City 1-4, 3-6, 1-3
Liverpool 0-4, 0-7, 0-0
Arsenal 1-3, 2-3, 1-3
Chelsea 1-1, 3-4
Spurs 2-2, 0-2
Amorim taken 4 pts out of 9 so far
Best part was coming back after going behind rather than crumble, and still going for the win when it was 2-2, rather than clinging on. Amorim has talked endlessly about being brave, and there were signs today.
Whatever happens second half, you can see the plan, the structure, the coaching, and what we're building towards. Main positive today so far.
It's beautiful. I think it's definitely because Farage distanced himself from Tommy Robinson. There's a good chance Reform will splinter into different parties before the GE and that will be the end of them.
Hope I'm wrong but that quote about insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results comes to mind.
Not the formation but Dalot and Mazaroui as wing backs again, and Martinez ahead of Yoro.
Elon Muskโs pinned post is reason enough to stop bothering with Twitter
Win rates in the Premier League this season:
Liverpool 76%
Chelsea 55%
Arsenal 53%
Manchester City 44%
For Arsenal to hit 90 points, they'll need to win ~90% of their remaining matches.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Basically yes. Challenged him and Garnacho to react & show better attitude & application. Garnacho did. Rashford didn't. Very disappointing.
Maguire played on the left of a 3 for Leicester and England for a couple of years. He can do it but he might struggle a bit in wide areas.
Haha
And in addition, he's decent cover for #9, so it is a good fit for Arsenal. And with City struggling, they will see it as their best shot at the title..but they need to add something new. So it does feel possible.
While he has received unfair abuse & scrutiny over years, it's mad some Utd fans absolve him of any criticism & blame his downfall on the club & the media. He's gone out on nights out, missed training, strolled around on the pitch, & Amorim has confirmed he has attitude & approach isn't good enough
And I'm optimistic we're ultimately going to become a successful team. The toxic scapegoating doesn't resonate then.
It's a shame he's become so hated by some of the fanbase but that's another reason he should leave. Makes sense for him and for the club. He's been abysmal for 18 months and I can't see it changing at Utd. Needs a new start.
Will be very interesting if he's in the squad for Thursday.
Those Rashford comments Not only sounds like he's leaving but also that he might know when. To be talking and thinking about the manner of his departure suggests plans are perhaps more advanced than we thought.
I was in Tenerife & obviously it was long before the internet so I had no idea. Went to watch Liverpool Vs Newcastle on Sky. The match was cancelled and they just showed loads of scousers saying how loved she was in Liverpool. I thought they've cancelled a match because Cilla Black has died?! ๐
Iโm having fun with all the pictures coming out tonight ๐
think this is a much more open world championship than people assume. there's probably going to be another bonfire of the seeds in round two (11/32 went out last year). then you have a wildly uneven draw (five of the six major title holders in the top half). weird things are going to happen
Yeah love that song.
