Just a PSA, salt is a really destructive and expensive sollution to winter roadways.

In addition to the money it would cost my household personally, using salt, sand or gravel still requires plowing. Then, after the snow, it requires clean-up. Salt, was illegalized where I'm at because of the excess maintence cost. Salt erodes the road, damaged cars, and kills the land and waterways

Saying 'I don't think' asserts you didn't check, salt is illegal to use on roadways where I am and we use volcanic gravel. My wife doesn't bike to work cause she can, she bikes because she can't drive and we don't have enough money to buy a car. So losing access to bikeways would be life threatening

Also, do you know how much money is being spent on clearing bike lanes? My wife bikes nearly an hour one way to get to work, how much time and money would she lose if she couldn't use her e-bike? All of her income until the snow melted, which takes longer when the bike lane is filled with ice mounds

Walk? Through the icey snow and sometime on the roadway? Way more money is spent plowing roads, maybe everyone needs to abandon their primary mode of transportation when it snows. Better yet, everyone just needs to stay indoors and wait out the snow

I get the feeling that this tire wouldn't work through 2 inches of snow, let alone the mountains of snow the plows leave along the sides of roads
