I first visited in 1986 as they were just around the corner from the U.K Comic Art Convention. Here’s a photo of the Gosh advert in the convention booklet.

40 years ago today we first opened our doors, at our inaugural site on Great Russell Street, opposite the British Museum. Originally dealing predominantly in back-issues, we’ve grown to host all aspects of the culture of comics, weathered the tumult of the industry and settled in to 1 Berwick St.
