That's why our poor blind inbred wallabies persist, no foxes or badgers. Cars are more dangerous for them. We also have wild goats, but not in our area, they are a traffic hazard, the lady in the charity shop damaged her car badly in a collision with a big billy goat the other day.

feeding him. He is the successor to old Phil who was raped and pecked to death by a randy and frustrated peacock. Some idiots thought they were a good idea to keep then denied all knowledge of them after they bought a peahen to keep them company! It's animal carnage up here I tell you!

We also have a large population of ducks and dwindling one of pheasants, due to the now defunct shoot up Glen Auldyn. The ducks persist as they are far, far better parents than the feckless pheasants. I have a semi tame Phil that sits outside looking wet and bedraggled guilt tripping me into

We have no foxes or badgers here in the Isle of Man, our apex predator, under man, is the polecat. We also have no squirrels or deer. But we are outnumbered by sheep.

Yes, it's cruel, they should really be culled, as the other option of introducing new genetics increases the problem of their population in our ecology. I believe they fill the niche of deer, which we don't have here.

The wallabies are a small and inbred population that stay mostly on the flat away from this area, the sheep are supposedly penned far higher up and scheduled for complete removal in a few years. I agree with you on both though. The sheep have made our hillsides barren apart from bracken. Pigs could

We live in a Glen in the North of the Isle of Man, and our local forest has just been designated as a temperate rain forest. no rhodos or sika, just a few wallabies and stray sheep. It's drippingly wet up there, but quite magical. We are lucky to have this on our doorstep.

Fact. The screwdriver that tightens the arms of spectacles is only available inside Christmas crackers. Opticians have to pull dozens of crackers to get the tools of their trade, and if you look out the back at Specsavers, youβll find bins full of wire puzzles, hair bobbles and fortune telling fish.

I was in he hair dressers last week and someone, not me, brought up Trump. I have never seen such unanimity amongst staff and customers that we couldn't wait for him to die. This is in the sleepy Isle of Man, a place that is intrinsically conservative. The popular press is massively out of step.

Indeed that's why I left and came here. Morally I could not continue on that site. Facebook is bad enough. Yesterday I had a word earworm. Shittification. That's the state of most social media. This stays good because of the epic block lists. We can stamp on the bots before they get started.

I really wish Starmer would pick a side, not the USA, and join with the majority of the EU to not get involved. There is no 'special relationship', we need to get real. We don't need any more instability on our doorstep. The Spanish are correct.
