The good news here is he can help me to create some larger fine art prints, and maybe even some posters and more!
I'm so glad. I didn't want to start over though I was mentally prepared to. Onward...❤️🐝✌️

Speaking of throwback Thursday, I managed to find and reconnect with my old friend and fine-art printer Jim Dittmer of JDA Créative yesterday. We had a good long catch-up after 13 years!
I thought he had retired. Nope! Just closed the southeast shop and transferred work to his Gresham home.
And I'll join in with some vitamin bee of course. You can never get enough.

First warm day means flowers and busy honey bees 🐝 🌱 #gardeningfeed #pollinators #insects #bees #flowers
A hairy-footed flower bee feeding on a small pinky-purple pulmonaria flower. The ginger hairs on the bee indicate that it is a male. The males emerge before the black-haired females. Long, fine hairs are just visible on the middle leg. These hairs give the bee its common and scientific names, plumipes translates to "feather foot".
A hairy-footed flower bee (Anthophora plumipes) on pulmonaria.
The first I have seen this year, there was maybe another, soon there will be many around this flower bed in The Botanics.

A close-up of a large bumble bee on white-pink almond flowers above blurry grass with a bare low hedge in the background. The cluster of flowers was perhaps one meter / yard above ground and I’ve seen the bees fly much higher, too.
A professional gardener told me last year that planting trees that flower early wouldn’t help pollinators as they could only fly as high as the flower bulb flowers that were in season.
May I prove him wrong? When this pic was taken, it was snowdrop and crocus season here! 🌱

Female red-breasted merganser with what appears to be fishing line caught in its bill.
Sandwich Tern
Great Black-Backed Gull
Dark-bellied Brent Goose
I very frustratingly missed the forsters tern in Poole Park this afternoon. Some other birds showed themselves very well. It’s only after looking at the photo that I’ve noticed the merganser appears to have fishing line caught in its bill. #Birds #DorsetBirds #WildlifePhotography #UKWildlife
I heard it's also #RedWednesday so I'm reprising this gorgeous red dahlia from last summer for the occasion. It's raining cats and dogs at the moment.
Black, and white, and read all over. Perched on the side of a tree, with a prominent red crest, white neck stripe, and a mostly black body, the largest woodpecker in North America, though this individual was quite dainty.

Good #RoseWednesday beeps. (Bee-loving peeps.) Nature's beauty always amazes me and keeps me grounded. How about you? #roses
A close up photograph of one Goat willow catkin that had burst open releasing its golden pollen where a Vernal Mining bee (Colletes cunicularius) is seen feeding; this is a large, spring-flying solitary bee with a brown buff-hairy thorax, head and abdomen. The background is blurred in a dark brown grey tone. Taken on 5 March 26 UK
One for #WildflowerHour challenge: #SignsOfSpring
The blooms of Goat Willow (Salix caprea) is my star choice; they were providing much needed food for many different pollinators that had emerged in the warm weather! 🌿📷

Bumblebee upside-down on hanging blueberry flowers. Bee has yellow hairs on thorax and vertex, black on most of abdomen.
Smallish bee resembling a bumble bee with yellow hairs on thorax and first segment of abdomen, remainder black, longish antennae, somewhat damaged wings, upside-down on blueberry blossoms.

Just a little neighborhood cooperation here: Our winter honeysuckle is absolutely teeming with the neighbors’ bees. 🌱 1 of 3
Happy #Stunday ! I feel as if we are heading into spring too soon! I’m sure that’s just me though:/💕

Picked from each a different place i have visited and photographed over the past decade.
Thanks for looking; I really appreciate you✨️
And here's some with #bees, bee-cause. We need both in this world. #SundayYellow
I went a bit overboard taking #PHOTOS of the last night's #Sahara sunset! So, here's another ... It was lovely of the egret to come out for a little night fishing, exactly as I started taking snaps. I did have a heck of a time keeping all those horizontals straight tho! #NatureIsMagic #photographs
I'll share this short video of South Falls #flowing over the cliff at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon July 2025 for #BlueSkyArtShow today too.
Rapids coming off a lake with mountains behind it and conifers to the right. There are some broken branches in it. The mountains have some snow.

I couldn't resist stepping to see what sort of #sunsetphotography the #Saharandust would produce. It was still half an hour before low tide, so my feet got a little wet, but I was delighted to see I wasn't the only one enjoying the spectacle. Thanks to whoever walked into shot! #PhotographyIsArt

A photograph of two bumble bees feeding on purple heather in the sunshine. One of the bees is at the top right face on. The other is at the bottom left face down showing a white fluffy arse.
It's all about the Bumble #Bees on the heather this morning. They are outnumbering the honey bees by about 5 to 1. Look at this hairy arse!
Beautiful light!

I got to travel to Iceland for the first time in 2021 right after vaccinations were available. The national parks were very empty. This is a fall morning in #Thingevellir National Park. #UNESCO world Heritage site.
