Oscars, like all awards around the world, are mostly all about lobbying. I was in the French movie industry: - it’s all about influence and who you know. Not about being the best. What’s being the best anyway?

Not my favorite (those being the 1st and the 6th in the saga). Still, so above the rest of the bunch. The Criterion Blus are still very good.

When working In a 3rd run theater in Paris back in 1988, it was strangely every year the biggest success when the movie was shown. people came from very far to watch it . And many asked for a refund as they were hoping for big dinosaurs, according to the title and poster. Little they knew.

Saw Taxidermia at the Cannes Film Festival. Loved it. Best movie I saw in 2006. A monstrous masterpiece. Many didn’t feel that way and left the theater yelling and cursing at the screen (Cannes Festival style)
