Drawing on Etchells’ practice in which language distorts and transforms through repetition and in dialogue with sound elements - a collaborative experiment in which three unique artists invent and explore sonic material together.

In Cold Sweat, the figures onstage are channelling confusion, struggling to articulate desires, dreams and uncertainties, looping their way through speeches and statements that shift uneasily between heartfelt revelation and the recitation of cliches.
Layering music loops with AI-generated voices, returns to the lip-syncing mode of Signal to Noise, mapping bodies to the strange rhythms and tonalities that nonhuman voices produce.

To Move in Time is a dizzying monologue written by @Tim_Etchells for performer and collaborator Tyrone Huggins, in which an unnamed protagonist speculates playfully about what he’d do if he were able to travel backwards and forwards in time.
Imagine you can travel through time. Backwards and Forwards. What would you do?
The set for Signal to Noise was lovingly crafted by @autumnmeteorite festival in Tokyo ready for when we arrived.
It's astonishing and disconcerting to find the set in situ - everything the same but just a little bit different.
The festival will repurpose all the elements after the run has ended.
Opening tonight, Signal to Noise is at Autumn Meteorite Festival in Tokyo.
