My university received a few years ago the promise of the largest single gift to a public university in U.S. history. It was equivalent to 12 hours of bombing Iran.
Lookin’ good! 👍
You can batch recolor the graphic lumps with SLADE, I’ve done this a number of times
Prayers up 🙏 Custom HUDs are tricky—you don’t really realize how little space there actually is to work with until you start messing around with it. Also I really wish they had put the ARMS spot on the base graphic and made FRAGS a separate overlay graphic 😤
i love starting new wads while i still have 3 other projects to work on

Getting ready
A new post! This time about a joke that is basically extinct now, living and dying in the 20th century
"The Apotheosis of War" by Russian artist Vasily Vereshchagin, 1871. Dedicated to "to all great conquerors, past, present and to come", this painting drew controversy when it was first exhibited, with military leaders in Europe forbidding soldiers from attending showings of the picture.

This is a weird one. Among other things, it’s bizarre to see a sociologist so shocked that an institution isn’t living up to the loftiest ideals presented in its marketing literature.
One more bit of Tourettesposting: I understand the limitations and imprecision of the term “swearing” in a Tourette’s context, but tbh I vastly prefer it over the unwieldy and gross-sounding “coprolalia” 🤷♂️
As a person with (mild) Tourette’s, it’s infuriating that a well-intentioned documentary about the condition is now reinforcing the worst 2000s-era edgelord comedy depictions of it. Makes me feel like I should go back to saying “yeah that’s just something I do” rather than the T word
I’m writing an article about the unseen labor it takes to become a successful online adult content creator, and would love to hear from more #spicysky #nsfwsky workers: What’s the hardest or most time-consuming part of your job? What do you wish customers understood about the work you do?
RIP Éliane Radigue
Source: Wikipedia. Éliane Radigue was a French composer. She began working in the 1950s and her first compositions were presented in the late 1960s. Until 2000 her work was almost exclusively created with the ARP 2500 modular synthesizer and tape. Since 2001 she has composed…

Hear about his experience with Coprolalia, his thoughts on how BAFTA mishandled the moment, and the need for care for all who are harmed:

Step aside ungrading, it’s time for unlearning
Also, it seems extremely evident that some kind of documentary explaining Tourette’s to a wider audience is needed, though I can’t speak to the merits of this particular one. Still a lot of “have you considered not having Tourette’s?” and “you secretly love having it don’t you?” comments out there!
I will say that two knee-jerk reactions I keep seeing seem obviously unacceptable: 1) “Sorry, certain disabilities necessitate your exclusion from social life, deal with it”; 2) “Marginalized people should just be able to get over abusive language if the person didn’t really mean it.” Not good!
Fascinated by the discourse on this, which is also sorta nightmare fuel even for a person with v mild Tourette’s like myself (who has still had to navigate some tough social situations with it, esp teaching).

When I see someone do something truly extraordinary and beautiful it helps me think about what humanity is capable of, in a society based on supporting everyone’s flourishing and brilliance
