Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Albert Vilร Cabrera, Ramรณn y Cajal researcher at UVIC and National Geographic Explorer๐We are collaborating with Albert within the framework of a National Geographic project @hgl7.bsky.social, categorizing the influences of forest legacy on soil biodiversity๐ณ
On those days, they learned different soil sampling techniques in the field, as well as explored soil species diversity in laboratory practices using microscopes and molecular tools ๐ณ๐ฌ๐งฌ

Last week, we sampled #soil #arthropods in Tenerife, where a major wildfire occurred in 2023. Weโre investigating arthropod responses in fire-adapted and fire-sensitive forests. Sampling was done with Alena Suchรกฤkovรก and Vojtech Lanta from Biology Centre CAS, and Carmelo Andรบjar from @ipna.csic.es
