Democracy Vouchers make dent with young voters, candidates Despite low usage, supporters say the program can incentivize candidates to take young voters' concerns seriously and can help improve turnout.

“It’s a much better experience,” said Rory O’Sullivan, a city attorney candidate who worked on the original Democracy Vouchers levy a decade ago. Because of vouchers, “fundraising means just talking to voters, which is different than a normal campaign, where what it means is calling millionaires."

My definition of public safety includes housing people. I hope to earn the support of voters who share that value. The backbone of my career as a poverty law and legal aid attorney has been fighting to keep people housed. Ballots are due August 5. #seattle #waelex
