π¬ β’ Lady Bird (2017) - 8/10
Captured a specific kind of youth that feels timeless, regardless of time. Even if it can be a little familiar, it doesn't take away from it's strong attention making you understand adolescence boarding on adulthood.
To be fair, everyone does has to fly away from home.

π¬ β’ Ready or Not (2019) - 7/10
Starts out slower than I would've liked, but once it gets to become the film it wants to be, does it work well. Maybe a little too well given the premise.
Never would I expect how bloody of an end it actually got to be. But to the real surprise of how it went down.

π¬ β’ Little Women (2019) - 8/10
Very lovely and charming, but also rather melancholic and honest about things. The right amount of both makes for a picture that made me smile, even if a few frown were had for reasons.
It's hard to believe that one particular boy used to be so that kind and sweet.

About as good as this could've been with the manga source material. It could've been better, but also could've been worse. I'm more apathetic than thrilled, but at least it wasn't terrible?
So long, to the wild side. I'll miss Legoshi, in spite of it all too.

π¬ β’ The Bride (2026) - 5/10
Polarized. Kinda works when it does, but surrounded by so much clunkiness and confusion that it's hard to call it good when the acting is mostly unable to connect to.
At least the production design in New York is solid. But what a rough screenplay you have to deal with.

πΊ β’ Ted S2 (2026) - 8/10
Another brilliant season of television. It might be slightly weaker, but no doubt the heartfelt crudeness still shines. A reminder that McFarlane can be a great artist when he knows his stuff. He does, and it does show here
After the ending, I'm going to miss Ted, again.

Still holds up, and honestly, it's even better than I remember. A brilliant mix of McFarlane's style and inheriting to what makes Ted great, in a setting that takes advantage then coast off easy puns or nostalgia.
It really did not need to be this amazing, but I'm glad it is.

Have never liked this one. Takes the worst attributes of McFarlane's style, but without the heart or tightness of the original. Not humorous. Barely clever. Barley a picture to begin with, or was.
At least the Amanda Seyfried campfire scene is something I listen to monthly.

πΊ β’ Rock is a Lady's Modestly (2025) - 7/10
Real with it's attitude. A raw ball of energy that knows how to balance between being ladylike and going to rock that rules, for the most part.
I'm more into the first half then the second, but it's quite good. Never have I seen prestige girls this rude.

π¬ β’ Ted (2012) - 7/10
Maybe not all that great narratively, but I can't deny it is entertaining and even clever at times. Ted makes for a great protagonist who I can listen to hours. I appreciate when it wants to settle and talk about serious things.
It's better than you think it is. And still is.

π¬ β’ The Revenant (2015) - 6/10
Got more out of it on a second viewing. The direction does well with the sort of atmosphere it's displaying. DiCaprio is better than I remember in the role. And the pacing is mostly well excellent
Still not into Hardy's role or the screenplay, which are not great.

π¬ β’ Hoppers (2026) - 8/10
I did not expect to like this as much as I did. My favorite original Pixar since Soul. Might seem familiar on the surface, but it's the absurdist charm and thoughtful screenplay that makes a difference in it's own messages.
I liked when Sam and Max guy was the frog king.

I get it now. Effortlessly fierce and passionate about being the best. Did not expect to like it as much as I ended up, but wow, what a thrill that didn't feel it's length. Pretty uproaring.
I will see more of these horses soon.

Despite its title, far less sweet and more downer than it's name suggests. In spite of that, it manages to create a rather tender and blissful look at such a simple task through unique influences that really surprised me.
I was not ready for the way it ended.

Thought it was about time I revisited this given it's recent accomplishments. So happy this turned out to be on par with the original. Continues and even improved on what made the first tood.
Still stand by what I said earlier. Waiting for the third chapter to arrive.

A little flimsy in it's writing, but overall, makes good usage out of it's premise. Great entertaining protagonist. Good pacing and energy. Bundle of swell fun.
And how pleasant it would be to live in a world where you don't know Bill Murray. With just no busters.

As relevant on it's everlasting bleak and heartbreaking outlook on redemption and injustice today as back then. Last act is especially powerful and pondering.
I'm glad to say I saw this in a theater, because I needed to see something like this. Great all around.
