I replaced the small red LED in this wireless doorbell with an ESP32 and wled. It now takes more processing power and energy for no discernable difference. Plus it's bulkier!

If Bambu want to lock users into their ecosystem, they'd be able to without hiding behind "security". That's the risk with any proprietary software.
I'd love to see more robust access control options in the firmware. Maybe IP whitelisting and some kind of granular access control? I'd like more details on what @bambulabglobal.bsky.social have changed before forming an opinion but it feels like a lot of people are overreacting.
Thinking about the Bambu printer controversy, am I right that all they've done is add mTLS between their client and the printer for lan control? Pointless but not the worst thing in the world. I'm curious what threat they're trying to protect against as mTLS probably isn't the right solution.
Oh boy do I feel that. Well, not really because it's winter and I have Raynaud's syndrome.
First ever 3d print! I'm actually impressed that it came out so well given how little effort it was.
Dude you have lovely handwriting.
@mrr3b00t.bsky.social has me thinking about how a friend and I would go war driving whilst blasting nerdcore on the radio.
It's great security has improved but those were fun times.
Age yourself with your first computer.
Technically this. It had a word processor which i'd use to write short stories, a game to learn touch typing and a BASIC interpreter which I used to learn programming.
"a" mince pie, as in a single one? It's not Christmas until you're regretting opening the second pack.
