Now boarding, My Master.
I'm just a Hobby Modellist, staring out of the window of an airliner, checking out the weathering on the wing.
I just instantly fell into it. I do wish id seen it earlier.
Excuse me i also watch Strictly and The Traitors.
So we finished the first season of Detectorists and may be one of closest to perfect seasons of TV ive ever seen.
Dammit how have I not watched this until now?
A fluffy tuxedo cat with big fluffy face whiskers stuck on a roof, looking sternly down on us all.
This guy has been sat on the neighbours roof for a couple of hours with the attitude of someone composing a letter to the Telegraph about how Keir Starmer has forgotten that Cats Stuck on Roofs Made Britain Great.
Shrinking doing some fun musical things this series - first letting Harrison Ford make an entrance singing the bloody Indiana Jones theme (!!) and now the little Les Mis skit.
Hard recommend on the whole series, really.
With Shattered Faith i had quite a strong reaction of stamping my foot and thinking "no i don't want that for those characters its not FAIR" bit with Pretenders its more "oh yes I do want that for those characters even if its just for a moment"
Pretenders to the Throne of God by Adrian Tchaikovsky
This was excellent and I look forward to the next (final?) one.
Still not quite over the end of Days of Shattered Faith though.
Half-watching The Chase and just absently answered "Particle Projection Cannon" to a question on what "PPC" stood for.
Unsurprisingly this was incorrect.
Yes agreed. Its a smart move to the cost for entry cheap.
So this looks a lot like "Battletech, but Gundam" and i am here for it.
Casper the White Cat is sunbathing, belly up.
Comfy little jerk.
How I arrived on Bluesky
"stop doomscrolling" they said but yeah sure but have you seen the high-quality, artisanal doom they have these days? When I was a kid all we had was nuclear terror and Thatcherite economics and now there is doom for all tastes and budgets.
In fairness i do feel Winston Churchill would be on-board with bombing Persia.
An expat in Dubai has a startling revelation: the Stephen Collins cartoon
You have to feel for all the opinion piece writers who now have to change their "Starmer must go because he's too close to Trump over Iran" articles to "Starmer must go because he's not close enough to Trump over Iran" articles at such short notice.
brain stuck on "you should hear back in a day or two" again.
neutral grey t-shirt with the logo "I went to Gloombase Alpha and All I got was the state-approved message of compliance and satisfactory behavior"
Baron Hereward and the Hermaphroditic Space Dogs next album "Interstellar Commerce Hobo"
Just having fun making stuff for our Traveller game, first the T-Shirt from the dystopian hellhole merch store we found, and second the proposed album cover for one of our crew's (sorry, long-term passenger) next Prog-Bongo Opus.
Three HG Gundam kits, (l-r) the Calibarn, the Aerial (Permet 6) and Lfrith.
I really love the designs in Witch from Mercury, especially the Aerial family.
#gunpla #gundam
Absolutely. I just want to do the school run and look for jobs, not be constantly worrying about the next international conflagration.
Mind you, if the worst comes to the worst I'm pretty sure I'm in primary blast range of Leeds-Bradford airport so i won't have to worry for long.
Not to take away from folks stranded there or their holidays disrupted, especially given its a massive international travel hub but a BBC reporter just said "as many of your viewers will know about Dubai" and thats just not the case?
Its so wierd how media coverage is treating "having a shopping holiday in Dubai" is like a normal thing that average people do and it....isn't?
We've had an Internet outage here so the kids have been hanging around like the cat wanting biscuits and now its fixed they've vanished like the cat after he's had biscuits.
Its the Lfrith from the GWitch prologue.
