@thracks.bsky.social Hey again — I’ve got a specific question that’s probably best suited for DMs or a private chat. I can’t message you directly, but I’d like to ask if you’re open to it. Totally understand if the answer’s no too, expect it tbh.

😘. It was a smart idea I’ll admit.
@thracks.bsky.social Totally forget if I asked this directly or not, but do you know any resources or people to talk to for Arc? I have a dev with inquires around XeSS 2 and some interest in what’s going on with that myself.
I appreciate just being able to reach out to you though, thanks.
Yeah it’s weird, 9200mhz works like a charm, won’t go below CL40. Might fart around in bios maybe with terminations or something to see. Could be a bios limitation or maybe just the limit of the silicon.
Is there anything you’re aware of that would cause there to be a limitation like that outside of just silicon quality or whatever else? If you can’t answer it either I understand, niche information.
Would be better to ping Asrock somehow on that I assume? Also forgive me if this question is too technical in nature, however I’m overclocking ram and CL40 seems to insurmountable strangely. I’m not sure it’s the sticks either since they can use more voltage still.
The IMC you guys have is beyond cracked as well.
@thracks.bsky.social Congrats on the smooth launch for ARL laptop, and everything I can see from my 265K it’s singing as well. Borderline considering switching my 9800X3D out for 285K for MT performance and just overall better lows. Repeat this and you’re on the right track. Cheers. 🥂
I sincerely appreciate your responsiveness. I’m probably not necessarily the best person for it but just since I have it anyway I like to at least ask about issues I’m aware of for Arrow. I think it’s a little under appreciated especially at this point.
“High d2d cold boot workaround”
Mainly I ask because Asus has it but I cannot seem to find it in my bios unless Asrock has a different name for it.
There is an issue with the D2D causing cold boot when tweaking its values. Now I fully understand that the behavior is only caused under OC conditions, but would it ever be something for Intel to consider just adding the bios feature of a fix for those who want it? Or should I ask Asrock about that?
Random follow up, I saw an insider group for discord on my Arc app, I was wondering what specific groups or channels you’d recommend for bringing to light issues or finding additional information on either Arc or Arrow Lake?
Useful going forward I did assume your position to be broader than it is. Do appreciate that you at least read it though.
…to find resources to get that working? Overall my personal experience with B580 has been great though, just wish the price allowed others to share that.
Also just since I’m pinging you AI playground is great, you guys should lean into that as a streamlined way to access AI as it’s basically intended to be. I did have some issues with Stable Diffusion though and getting OpenVINO acceleration working. Would the insider discord be the best place…
@thracks.bsky.social This is my obligatory complaint about Battlemage supply actively hindering a huge chance to buy market share in the GPU market. The driver utilization stuff is one thing but if the cards cannot be ballpark MSRP this is for nought.
I feel like you could do this while being conservative at the same time as well, and these subsystems seems to be weighing on the rest of the CPU in terms of raw performance. I would say it’s something to consider implementing if not talking to board partners about.
I made an account on this platform since I’m most common X to ask you something. What is the feasibility of a low latency profile on Arrow Lake that does something along the lines of setting voltages slightly higher or fixing them in the case of system agent to achieve higher D2D and NGU clocks?
