They're worth it. My best pal has been gone for years, but when he was old he developed laryngeal paralysis and had trouble breathing. He had surgery to open it up, which came with the side-effect of no longer having a voice. But it changed his life! He became much more active and lost about 25 lbs.

The problem is a large number of Albertans don't understand the difference between fiscal conservatism and social conservatism. They just hear "conservative" and that's the team they cheer for. Social conservatives take advantage of this by systematically injecting their social causes into politics.
There's always been a debate about which time to stick with. Why can't we all just agree to adjust to 30 minutes between the two times and keep it there permanently? Then you get an averaged best of both worlds.

Don't worry, separation isn't possible. Alberta can't separate without approval by Parliament (House and Senate) and 7 provinces. The federal government is also obligated to uphold treaties with the First Nations. If they say "No" to separation, which they would, Parliament can't approve it.
Thankfully the referendum is nothing but noise. Provinces don't have jurisdiction to hold referendums on federal matters.

They were haha. And they stay infuriating as the series progresses. You should consider playing DQ1+2 HD-2D and DQ3 HD-2D. They're complete modern revamps of the first three games. For story continuity, they recommend playing DQ3 HD-2D first. I've only played a bit of 3 so far, but it's amazing.
Really? That's a great memory to have. I played the first game incessantly with my brother. I hit a point where I maxed out the stats and couldn't do anything more with it. Then I moved up from there as subsequent games came out. I don't play as much as I used to, but I love me some Dragon Quest.
