Wearing a mask was made into a symbol of being neurotic and kind of annoying, and THAT'S what sunk the final nail in the coffin of widespread takeup.
Shaming people for not vaccinating their kids is in fact the one thing that WILL move the needle; it isn't an education issue, it is a social one.
I don't want to pick a fight about it but I saw someone claiming that shaming doesn't work where vaccines are concerned and then try and turn around and say "How many of you are wearing masks?"
And that's the thing: People stopped wearing masks because they were shamed OUT of it.
living dangerously by always sewing in bed. it's all fun and games having a giant big pin cushion until the adhd drops
all needles should be fluorescent so you can find them when you drop them and also see where you're up to easier
Well, gas is expensive, and food is expensive, and we’re doing a war nobody wants, but at least there are no jobs

So, less than a year later, the Met Police have decided to raid the Meeting House AGAIN.
that's a little bit too on the nose
i am also asking the UK government for a 15 year window during which I am allowed to commit crimes.
but then they give themselves all the being in charge of everything jobs and consigning them to life of leisure looks like the lesser evil
oh I hadn't even thought of that, I should look into it. luckily for me I work from home, which now I think about it it's wild I was able to swing it to get given a pair. yeah if I was still in the office I would be on the brink of mass murder continuously
my work bought me the fancy noise cancelling headphones and then the noise cancelling button or whatever randomly just stopped working after a few months and I'll never be able to either afford my own or convince them to replace them so that was nice while it lasted 😐
Antenna tower behind a hill, next to street light, electric wires.

Bring back cooling towers. That’s what I say.
Rugeley power station next to the Amazon depot that sat for a while near what was once Lee Hall Colliery.
From the author’s personal collection.
Surely this can't go on.
And yet it goes on
Crucifixion Study - oil on canvas by Roger Wagner, 1990. A crucifixion in a field with cooling towers in the background.
Stan Barstow A Kind Of Loving book cover, Penguin Books 1972. A mid sixties couple walking along a tow path. He has a sharp suit on, and she has a baby blue knee length coat and a head scarf on. They’re staring into each others eyes.
Ironbridge B Power station, 2015. The cooling towers are surrounded by autumnal leaves on trees.
Ratcliffe power station, Study 50, Nottinghamshire, England, 1987. The condensation is backlit, and the cooling towers are like standing stones. Stonehenge is shown in a similar photo on the opposite page, not shown.
It’s the best book. It also has a photo of a pub I worked in that looks so quaint and pretty, but was not at all like that when I worked there.
which ones? it's such a shame so many have been destroyed. beautiful things. my hometown gasometers (Reading) have gone too. heathen times
these are all magnificent 😍
ahhh an absolute classic. I had this as my userpic for ages over on the app formerly known as.
show us some pics please 🙏🏻👀
yeah currently I'm operating on it either turns up and surprises me or it doesn't and I'm none the wiser
now that it's approximately bedtime I obviously want to start a new craft project with a billion fiddly pieces that are currently distributed god knows where in at least 12 different locations around the house
I cannot be trusted to remember anything I have ever done anywhere or where the information pertaining to it might live
someone should make an app that keeps track of all the books you've preordered
based on the only other anecdote I've heard about your past (nightmare filing dead wasps job) this tracks entirely
