I'm sorry this is happening to you, Robin. Here's hoping the pain subsides as incomprehensibly fast as it arrived.

ICE detains reporter Estefany RodrΓguez in Nashville - Nashville Banner Reporter Estefany RodrΓguez, detained by ICE with no arrest warrant, may face deportation. Her attorneys seek immediate review of the legality of her case.

ICE has arrested and detained a Nashville journalist who reported stories critical of ICE. She’s married to a U.S. citizen and has been seeking asylum here after fleeing death threats in Colombia because of her journalism there.

They’ve already sent her to Louisiana.

Next workshop:

Hey students, bring a copy of your CV and a high-res picture.

Hey Claude, build a professional website based on the two files in this folder.

Hey students, I guess that concludes today's workshop.

It’s not that the dead were not always there with us (in books, for ex.), but that the β€œinteractions” are now in forms that solely belonged to the relationalities of the living (correcting a paper, for ex.). And yes, absolutely cringe and grave robbery.

Thanks to @aljazeera.com for doing this important work. (And to @tcarmody.bsky.social for pointing to it.)

For ease of discovery, here's a link to the page where the tracker lives, rather than to the live blog, which is updated more frequently:

If congress reconvenes, and the Democrats help legalize this illegal war after the fact, I would like to see more of you who have been lifelong Democrats make sure that whoever votes 'Yes' never wins a primary again in their lives. I beg you to make that promise before the vote happens.

Some people balk at the idea of blaming Democrats for what's happening. I disagree. Blame is such that you cannot divide it into percentages. It's magical. Watch. I blame fascists for everything that's happening. I also blame Schumer for being a zombie with fascist tendencies. See? πŸͺ„

Today of all days, I support doomscrolling. I really do. We have enough trashfires every day to go do self-care on, we don't need today. Let this one drive you insane. Go deep.

Yup. Ironically, more conservative than the conservatives. They're tired of paying taxes? Let's call that bluff.

The regime has gone rogue. Why should we fund it?

The regime is unequivocally evil. Why should we fund it?

The regime poses an imminent threat to the planet and humanity.

Why should we fund it? Why should we fund it? Why should we fund it?

28.02.2026 14:47 πŸ‘ 9 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Wouldn't a general tax strike be nice? By the point we start taking for granted that the regime can start wars without congressional approval, or that AI makes a deal with DOJ and we should just trust them without congressional oversight the country is lost to "the people." Why should we fund it?

These are criminal acts, and there is no way to find the other side of this without meaningful accountability for thisβ€”like β€œin the dock at The Hague” accountability.

Reading a paper thinking through archival loss. A quote from David Scott asking us to consider language and discourse as the true "the archive." Made me think language is the remainder or modulus of actual archives and libraries, at least in part. Granted, language does carry memory.

Ha! I'm here for the tenderness and joy behind their power. Closest balance between power/care I've seen in this country besides Bernie. Power is poison, but in some cases it's only a smidgen. See also, vaccines.

How Brothel Workers in Nevada Just Made Labor History The courtesans at Sheri’s Ranch were staring down a horrifying new contract. So they did what workers everywhere do: They got organized.

When faced with a shockingly exploitative new employment contract that would’ve forced them to sign away their IP, their likeness rights, and their power of attorney, Jupiter Jetson and her coworkers at Sheri’s fought backβ€”fast.

They organized a union in SIX DAYS. www.thenation.com/article/econ...

Particularly enjoyed this one. I hadn't seen a clear use of necropolitics in the wild, and the original wasn't all that clear either, at least to me. Thanks for the light.
