If you read the article you'll see she has other convictions for dishonesty and her story doesn't tally with when Trump knew Epstein or where Epstein was at the time. Hardly a strong basis for believing the story. It's more than just no evidence to back up the story.
For those not familiar with the Guardian it's a UK left wing news outlet/newspaper which regular wins journalism awards.

More than just an uncorroborated statement. Are you familiar with the concept of beyond reasonable doubt. People make shit up all the time for money and attention. We had a case in the UK where someone made up a story about a Tory MP. His reputation in tatters and then story shown to be false.
