The windows in the basement were almost black outside, we couldn’t see anything. Took out two barns & a metal shed bolted into concrete and tore that into three pieces & tossed them in my neighbor’s yard. I understand what it’s like, I’m sorry you had to go through it & happy you made it through.

Wow. That's really scary. We spent several evenings and afternoons in our basement last year. I just got the hide-a-bed made up. We have 2 cases of water. The portapotty is ready. The generator is ready. We are preparing for a rough tornado season. Now is the time.

I’m from Illinois and 1 Mother’s Day when I was a kid it dropped from 80 to below 60 in a matter of a few minutes. My much older sister had gone to the car to grab something, came right back in & yelled “everyone in the basement!” Seconds later the sirens went off & it went right through our lands.

Along with that we had 3 tornados last evening. The biggest one is said to be an EF3. We don't normally get EF 3's here at all. There were 4 killed 12 injured. Storms are getting stronger and more dangerous thanks to climate change/ global warming.

Worldwide wars certainly aren’t helping - turns out the carbon footprint of blowing stuff up and incinerating other stuff (is terrible in terms of pollutants released) is deep and wide indeed! And thats before the rebuilding begins!!!

They pollute because people buy the products. They pollute because they produce to satisfy profits and demand. It’s both the producers and the consumers, particularly of the developed world. Combatting climate collapse means the developed world takes a hit to its standard of living.
