Jordan will host a summit on Syria on Saturday in Aqaba, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Borrell's last trip to the MidEast as the EU's top diplomat also comes amid doubts that his successor, Estonia's Kaja Kallas will take such strong positions and interest in the region, focusing instead on Russia, China and migration amid a right-wing surge in Europe.
Borrell also underlined that EU countries continue to strongly support a two-state-solution with a Palestinian state thirty years after the Oslo accords.
