back in my day if you wanted to deal with replies from the most credulous dweebs alive you had to get retweeted by mara wilson
With New Momentum, Republican States Push Broader Limits for Trans Americans In states that once focused mainly on health care and sports for transgender minors, debates now revolve around the validity of transgender identity.
The subheadline on this NYT piece is going to turn me into the Joker.
Like... this... is exactly what trans people have been saying was going to happen for years.
Sigh. Fine. A few years ago, a friendβs dad had to pick RFK Jr. up from the airport & bring him to their house for a lecture series they were hosting, but had to divert to because he had explosive diarrhea βon the plane, in the car, at the hotel.β He, himself, said he βwrecked the plane.β
thus post from our wonderful director is tight
the two thumbs up rating is incredibly powerful at Netflix (one thumbs up is actually bad. no joke).
if you even kinda like strip law please give it a ππ
On episode 3 and already in love with this show.
Courtney Love is a lot like trans women in that if you watch anything made between 1995 & 2012 there is an out-of-nowhere BRUTAL joke on the subject
"Superman Comes to Cleveland" with an announcment that his strip is going to be in the Plain Dealer. There is a large image of Superman on the right and two panels from the comic on the left.
A promo for the Superman newspaper stripβs arrival in Clevelandβs The Plain Dealer on January 21, 1940. The strip been around for a little over a year at that point. And Cleveland is where Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster met and created Superman.
I think I am gonna start posting here more :)
this was the funniest moment of 2025
Karen Kilgariff is really funny in Mr Show
Not sure if I ever mentioned it here but I am getting an orchiectomy in a bit over a month and I canβt begin to say how excited I am for it :)
WATCH: cis comedian DESTROYS transphobes by using TRANS PEOPLE as a POLITICAL FOOTBALL
heβs the guy, he did it
The destruction doesn't make for a photo-op like tearing down the East Wing of the White House or bulldozing the Rose Garden, but it's every bit as bad. Generations of American children learned to spell and count, learned the Preamble to the Constitution, from watching shows produced by the CPB.
Lifeβs going really good. Surgery coming up next month, overall just happy.
Howβve ya been Mike :)
The movie Iβve seen most with my dad is Meatballs (1979) which had the unintended effect that I wanted to grow up to be a 1970s Canadian actress
hi again
my immediate thought whenever someone takes a photo of me is βgive the camera the middle fingerβ
Mr. Spritz Goes to Washington is an insane Simpsons episode because 3 minutes after a trans joke thereβs a joke about how homophobic tv comedy was in the 90s
I love the Tony Hawk episode of The Simpsons has a scene parodying the opening credits of The Mary Tyler Moore Show
The Al Jean 2000s/2010s era really has one question βdoes Al Jean realize what people liked about 90s Simpsons?β
Wikipedia Paragraph of George Meyer that says βMeyer left after two seasons and went on to write for The New Show, Not Necessarily the News and Saturday Night Live. Tired of life in New York, Meyer moved to Boulder, Colorado where he wrote a screenplay for a film for Letterman to star in. The project fell through and Meyer then founded the humor zine Army Man which garnered a strong following, although Meyer ended it after three issues. The producer Sam Simon was a fan and he hired Meyer to write for the animated sitcom The Simpsons in 1989. He has held a number of positions on the show and also cowrote The Simpsons Movie. Meyer is in a relationship with the writer Maria Semple and the two have a daughter.β
George Meyer is the only boomer comedy writer who could have a sentence on his Wikipedia like βTired of life in New York, Meyer moved to Boulder, Colorado where he wrote a screenplay for a film for David Letterman to star inβ
like my first thought whenever I think of Dressed to Kill is βgod I love Nancy Allen so muchβ
I connect to Brian De Palma movies the way most people do to David Cronenberg movies
