Ah. The old cerebellum in your eye problem.
Is the brain not also backwards in the head?
Newly released files from the investigation of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein reveal that his ties to the scientific community were deeper than previously known.

NEW: Abigail Spanberger this afternoon ordered that all state agencies leave ICE's 287(g) program.
This means that the state police (and some other agencies) will no longer be empowered to detain and arrest people for ICE.
Big, big move by the governor within weeks of coming into office.
I was just on SS and we had 4 reviewers on grants if the reviewer had already turned in their critique but couldnβt go to the makeup meeting. Another reviewer did the critique and attended the meeting. We could still see the write in critique. I donβt know about not submitting a score for r3 though.
I started reading my son The Wee Free Men (first of the series this quote is from). I started reading it to him becuase Tiffany becomes a witch, not becuase she's chosen or special. Tiffany becomes a witch because she witnesses a wrong (death of Mrs. Snapperly) and says, not again, not on my watch.
Academics vying for a spot in Epsteinβs world. There are so many. I feel the need to make a thread, so I donβt keep confusing them. 1/
Judge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept."
Astonishing thing for a judge to do.

This line graph illustrates the percentage change in agency staff levels from the previous year for nine major U.S. federal scientific and health organizations between the fiscal years 2016 and 2025. The agencies tracked include the CDC, Department of Energy, EPA, FDA, NASA, NIH, NIST, NOAA, and NSF. For the majority of the timeline between 2016 and 2023, the agencies show relatively stable fluctuations, generally staying within a range of +5% to -5% change per year. However, there is a dramatic and uniform plummet starting in the 2024β25 period. Every agency depicted shows a sharp downward trajectory, with staffing losses ranging from approximately -15% to over -25%. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shows the most significant decline, dropping to roughly -26%, while the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) shows the least severe but still substantial drop at approximately -15%.
This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

The website weirdness, not the weirdness deep within me that wants to write "The incognito window! Not just for porn! Also for NIH business!"
I've been having big time browser specific issues on a lot of NIH/era/NCBI sites. Have you tried the incognito window in chrome? That normally makes all the wierdness go away for me.
Coming up with ideas is the fun part of this job. Iβve got so many more questions than Iβd ever have time to do the experiments to answer.

That's the way it was. Privilege, which just means 'private law.' Two types of people laugh at the law; those that break it and those that make it.
ummmm those don't work in Wake County? They just shut off when you cross the county line. At least that's the only explanation for every driving experience I've had in RTP.
