Agreed. Conditions were great and it was extra satisfying this morning because traffic was very bad....

#hfxws The bridge bike lane was in great shape tonight.
I also love this daily ritual!
Deep snow in a bike lane. The road and the sidewalk are both mostly clear.

Devonshire tonight.
Cool! Maybe it will be possible to compare the numbers.
A screenshot of an Instagram post that shows an overhead view of a bridge. There are cars on the right and two cyclists in a dedicated bike lane on the left. The Post is by hfxharbourbridges and says that there were 6698 cyclists and 5660 pedestrians who crossed the bridge in October.
I saw this post the other day.
The bridge!!!
I lived there during the time when so much cycling infrastructure was installed. It was incredible. When we moved back to Halifax we were so optimistic that it was headed in that direction. But progress has been sooooo slow!
A bike with a lot of lights on its frame. There are lights all over the ground.
Several bike racks with some bikes hanging on them. There is a large crowd of people in the background.
The #BikeHFX community is amazing. So many people showing up in the rain, great music, bright lights, and lots of skilled marshals. Thanks everyone!
We had initially planned for a rain date but it turns out we wouldn't have enough volunteers for Sunday. So it will be tomorrow. The weather looks a bit unpredictable so if it is indeed too wet we will have to cancel. But if it's just drizzling it will go ahead.
An advertisement for the I LIGHT HFX community ride. THe picture shows bikes on racks and leaning on trees with a few people hanging around. There is one big tree with yellow leaves.
#BikeHFX I'm still looking for a few more marshals for Saturday's ride. If you can help out, please send me a message! @cyclehalifax.ca @criticalmasshfx.bsky.social
It took three of us to stop one driver. He backed up to try to go around me. Then a friend joined me while Steve calmly talked to him. By the end I heard Steve telling him that it was a nice area to live in.
And both drivers stated "I live here". So? The kids have the right to be on that road as much as them. I tried to explain that to one man and he berated me about kids needing to know the "rules of the road", ie staying on the right side of the yellow line. I then stopped trying to reason with him.
Four adults riding bikes up a large hill.
A large group of adults and kids standing with their bikes. Many of the kids are wearing Halloween costumes.
Last #KidicalMassHfx ride of the year with a great group of volunteers and participants. This #bikehfx event is always one of my favourites.
And thanks for your cool, calm, collected level headedness!
These spoke lights from Lee Valley are quite durable and bright. Going on year the of riding with them though the winter. Only annoyance is that the button is a little stiff

A wide gravel road with gravestones and trees on both sides.
The best part of my commute in #bikehfx today (and every Tuesday). The graveyard always feels so quiet.
I'm sad to miss this one but if anyone is interested in marshalling for Kidical Mass this weekend they are in need of a couple volunteers!
Welp, it happened again. Hit by a driver in the bike lane/MUP in front of Purdys Wharf. Iโm absolutely fine, so is my bike. Just mad.
Those numbers will be so interesting. It's been especially busy this week when I've crossed!
I was going to offer this same thing. Have you made it home Nick?
There was a lot of loose gravel in that section of the trail too. And A LOT of potholes.
That's amazing!
What was the best Halloween costume you ever had?
Oh no! They're were definitely a lot of potholes out there. I hope you get seen soon!
I bet there will be some pretty good numbers this morning!

Beautiful morning for a long ride in the woods. The trail was BUSY!
And I saw you and your kiddos watching the boats as I biked past you on the bridge! And then @danp.net saw me on Devonshire and generously waited for me as I slowly climbed the hill.
Yup. It's normal. My third smoky ride to work in a row. ๐ญ
Yup. We've tried that section of the Blueberry Run too. It might be a bit outdated now, but the trail even disappeared at one point during high tide. But if your dogs will allow, the Gaetz Brook Greenway section is lovely!
