I’m grateful that I I left the house to join this peaceful demonstration walking distance from my childhood home. I’ve never felt anything quite so powerful as being among thousands of Americans who joined together to state publicly that they believe in the U.S. Constitution and the Rule of Law.

Last night I learned that when your partner asks, “How do I look?” before a pic is taken, ask the same question back so that they can say, “Oh, your tie is totally crooked and they should kick your import or ass outta here.”

My wife, who likes nothing from the Star Wars universe, gave it a shot with me and was amazed. She loved it! It IS too good for Star Wars, as is Rogue One.

I can’t wait to start… but I have to wait. We’re bingers who Jed all the episodes out before we begin.

100%. The executive branch ignoring the judicial branch's rulings is the definition of a constitutional crisis. At some point is the Supreme Court going to order the arrest of a law breaking, and therefore criminal, executive? If they don't then they're risking their branch being dissolved. Scary.

When the Trump admin talked about denying CA federal support for the L.A. fires, I was suggesting CA residents refuse to pay federal taxes if we get denied federal emergency support.

I mean…. It’s pretty clear that Trump wants to be free of legal restraint. Does that make a constitutional crisis in which he says it must be abandoned inevitable? I think the only thing that would prevent it is strong and early action by the judicial and representative branches. Is that likely?

JOMO. This is me in four letters, but only now that I’m old. As a younger person it was definitely FOMO.

I used to be registered as an independent, but then I didn’t get to vote in primaries. TBH, what I should do is register as a Republican

This excellent short film won the Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film last night. Bittersweet for me. Our jury loved this submission to @shermanoaksff.bsky.social but the producers were unresponsive. Our emails are likely in their spam folder, which is why it didn’t screen at SOFF last year.

So… totally outside my comfort zone here. I started the @difwins podcast to interview filmmakers from @filminvasionla and @shermanoaksff back in 2017. I successfully dodged being the interviewee until episode 500 that released TODAY. Maybe y’all will enjoy it.
