For more than 100 years, doctors have known that the eyes can be used as a window to the rest of the body. Now, thanks to the power of AI and big data, we can find information hidden within retinal images and use this information to pick up early signs of neurodegenerative diseases.
Professor Pearse Keane is using artificial intelligence to investigate how the eye's retinal tissue can help diagnose dementia.
