Yesterday, I joined Ritchie Torres at the New York Botanical Garden for a Women’s History Month celebration.
We heard from Nancy Pelosi — the first woman Speaker of the U.S. House — and honored local trailblazers Miguelina Camilo and Simone Jones for breaking barriers at the New York City Council.

What an incredible Legislative Luncheon with District 9 leaders, principals, parents, and community members! It was inspiring to celebrate the amazing work happening in our schools and connect with the community.
New York should never be an afterthought.
Our late primary weakens our voice while candidates raise millions here. I’m proud to support the bipartisan Super Tuesday bill to ensure New Yorkers have a real say in choosing the next President.
