Important activities on our very first #Caturday! Introducing Staffa and Deanston who joined our family last week!
Multi-omics analyses of mutants for Marchantia polymorpha FERONIA and MARIS reveal a link between cell wall integrity and abscisic acid responses url: academic.oup.com/pcp/article/...
Huge thanks to my amazing co-authors, to AG Saur and AG DΓΆhlemann, and to all our collaborators for their fantastic contributions @Merle Bilstein-Schloemer@izzysaurlab.bsky.social @grandpahiro.bsky.social @sara-stolze.bsky.social@Gunther DΓΆhlemann@Matthieu Pierre Platre ! π
Last one of the year: CRK2 controls the localisation of other RLKs to plasmodesmata. Great collaboration with
@grandpahiro.bsky.social @rople.bsky.social and Ivan Kulich - thank you for the help and great collaboration!
Congratulations Isabel ππ

New preprint! π We uncover how early land plants evolved UV-B tolerance by dissecting the UVR8 pathway in Marchantia polymorpha. Conserved yet rewiredβevolutionary plasticity revealed. π www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... #PlantScience #UVB #Evolution
Haven't tried it but saw it at a conference and had a good conversation with the sales team: the Formulatrix Mantis system. It's comparably cheap, very robust, doesn't need expensive consumables and can be adapted basically any plate format.
I will do that. We are also cooperating with Bruker who will measure another plate at their single cell site in Berlin.
Moving forward to a new era: just loaded our first single cell samples from a demo on the CellenONE using Arabidopsis protoplasts. Very curious to see the results! #proteomics #singlecellproteomics #plantscience #corefacility
This is really scary. I see a colleague using ChatGPT everyday to learn about the science she's supposed to be doing... Asking it for every little something instead of digesting and thinking for herself or taking advice from more experienced researchers.
You wanna see something really scary? open.substack.com/pub/amandagu...
You're aware that we have foxes roaming on the grounds, right?
The final version of our study on SERK-BIR module in Marchantia is out.
Congratulations Cate and many thanks to collaborators!

Very happy to see this finally published!
Congratulations to Jana Ordon and all coauthors!!! Our new study is published in @natureplants.bsky.social

Congratulations @somssich.bsky.social ! I liked the plant history posts most.
Hi #TeamMassSpec! #FeMS+ has joined BlueSky! Please share and get the word out so we can build up a base here.
